World Bank to reengage in Myanmar


The World Bank is resuming its operations it halted 25 years ago in 
Myanmar, according to a statement released by the bank. Foreign 
media said that the bank would work in Myanmar due to democratic 
reforms and the changes in the government in Myanmar.

Minimum salary for government employees should be K 100,000 per month


Minimum salary for government employees should be raised to K 100,000 
so that the employees can enjoy from K 80,000 to K 900,000 per 
month after tax or their salaries should be raised as much as possible if 
the government does not have enough funds to raise the minimum salary
to K 100,000, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann said in his 
message to the Chairman of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on 21 February.

Myanmar realizes almost US$ 3 billion in natural gas export


It is now that Myanmar’s number one export item is natural gas. 
Natural gas earnings have reached a record high when the fiscal year 
of 2011-2012 is 50 days away, according to the source of the Ministry 
of Commerce.
